Mr Adams
I hope you are all working hard for Miss McLeash. Here’s a picture of my new baby girl, Vesper. She was born on Sunday 17th January at five past six in the morning. If you would like me to bring her in to see you on Friday then click on the questionaire. Keep working hard in my absence.
We had a busy week last week learning about the religion of Hinduism. Highlights included meditating about what God looks like whilst listening to mantras and lighting insence sticks, and roleplaying the story of Holi. We also went ot our local Hindu temple and watched the priest their as he prayed. We helped him by playing instruments as he prayed.
Read the following information then have a go at our two surveys.
Unless he has forgotten, Mr Adams always sets three pieces of homework each week. Maths and Reading homework is given out every Friday, whilst Spellings homework is given out every Monday. However, ALL homework is due in on a Friday. There is a box for each piece clearly marked in Mr Adams classroom, as well as spare copies in case anyone loses theirs. Making himself available every lunchtime for those who need help and awarding stickers to those who hand their homework in early Mr Adams feels there is little excuse for not doing the work that is set. Indeed children have reported that on occassion his head has turned a full 360 degrees as steam shoots from his ears when children have tried to give him excuses for forgetting to their homework.
We’ve had a fun week exlporing forces. We’vew thrown eggs out of windows to explore air resistance, created a mess with modelling clay to explore upthrust and made our own Cartesian divers out of straws, paperclips and blutac to explore bouyancy. All the way through we have considered balanced and unbalanced forces and how they affect everything artound us. Unfortuatley, we were so busy having fun and learning that we forgot to take any photos to show everyone! As Homer Simpson would say “Doh!”
We’ve also completed some great news reports and recorded them onto our computers. Once Mr Adams has figured it out we’ll try to get one or two of them up on the blog.

We’ve been busy working on our Science project. Here’s some of our flapjacks in their packaging ready to go to the shops to be sold! We also went to Cadburys world the other day and there’s a photo of us seeing melting and freezing in action as we write our names in chocolate. Finally we went tovisit our new school. Check out the great colours and fabulous classroom doors.

Still an angel!
